Hiking - backpacking, camping, outdoors, nature experiences

Hiking is a way of moving around in nature at your own pace. It can mean an overnight stay in a hammock in a nearby forest, a leisurely day trip on the trails of a national park, or even a couple of weeks hiking in the wilderness. What all hiking has in common is being outdoors and close to nature - alone or in a group, with a lightweight backpack or with heavier gear. Hiking can be accompanied by activities such as fishing or photography.

In this Destinations section you will find information and detailed articles about outdoor destinations: national parks, trails, wilderness areas, places to visit such as waterfalls, beaches, forests and best locations for nature photography.

The hiking and trekking routes and destinations have also been hiked by myself, and the experiences, photos and descriptions are authentic and personal - no shallow AI-generated content. You can find hiking destinations in Finland, Sweden and Norway. Check also the Trail running section for hiking routes. Long-distance hikes and hiking stories from the trails and mountains can be found in the Adventures section. Gear reviews and lists, and articles on outdoor skills are in Gear section.

The best thing about hiking is the freedom to choose your own way of being outdoors. There is no one right way to go hiking - it's all about getting out there and finding your own way of enjoying nature. Nature is one of the greatest sources of wellness!
