Hi I'm Aino!

I'm Aino, a happy trail runner and solo hiker & adventurer from Finland - the land of thousands of lakes, forests and mosquitoes. Finland is home to the happiest people in the world. I think it's because of the thousands of forests and lakes, not sure about the mosquitoes.

I write about nature in Finland and other Nordic countries. I hike deep in the green forests, admire the beauty of the autumn foliage in the silent fells, run through the windy wilderness and climb the majestic mountains. I'll tell you about the finest trails, the peace and quiet of nature and share tips on hiking and gear - from lightweight hiking to ultralight running adventures.

I'm all for holistic, accessible Nordic wellbeing. Its pillars are fitness and nutrition that are suitable for you, nature and living a life that looks like you. I want to encourage you to connect with nature and to exercise in nature without the pressure to perform. I hope you find joy, benefit and inspiration!

Welcome to the trails with me!
